IMHO, Love them or hate them, exchanges are key for mass adoption, even if it requires KYC.

I can't imagine having to explain an older uncoe uncle that it's just getting started how to use RoboSats to buy BTC. The friction around this would be a turn off.

Very true. There are layers, and the casual user will not bother if there's no easy option. It's okay to onboard them there and then educate.
