Cast Iron Gang !!!

Reporting the first few days with this bad boy.

I’m getting very comfortable using this pan. I enjoy the way it takes a while to heat up and how it stays hot after the fact. Makes me more present while cooking, i am way more intentional with my cookware 😊 🧘.

Seasoning/clean up all that was stressing me out before i started, after a few cleans and whatnot.. I actually enjoy it. I feel more connected with the pan and my food. Something almost primal about it. I want to keep this thing in a sack on a stick and just post up in the woods somewhere 😂

So far i’ve just been cooking burgers. All different kinds. LaFreida 80/20 burgers are LEGIT. ground beef is also awesome. Smash burgers really slap on this pan. I love the little crunchy bits of ground beef that this pan allows… Fuck ya!!

Still not used to how heavy the pan is. I need to know how you guys are maneuvering with it. I have a deep fear that i will make this thing hot and melt myself by dropping it on my thigh or something. But i suppose given how heavy it is i will be VERY intentional with it.

Do you any of you have a special glove to use to pick it up when transferring food or moving it while it’s hot? Curious to know.
