go to linux.stackexchange.com and start typing your problem in a very detailed way so that someone can help you with reproducible steps. in the middle of typing it you will realize you didn't really follow any ordered pattern, so you'll have to do that yourself in order to write a realistic and helpful question. while doing it you will find the problem.
Thanks. i'll try stackexchange. I usually ask google or chat gpt. I just can't wrap my head around the permissions idea and proper usage of it.
I have a simple problem many others had before and I found several answers but still can't get it to work.
