Ok 2 fun facts about this:
1. My aorta that got replaced (by gortex) is now part of an international medical study for people who have extra large aneurysms that don’t dissect - my aorta was more than 8 standard deviations from the average 😅
2. I recovered completely narcotic-free because I grew up in the opiate epidemic and big pharma can go fuck themselves 🤙😎

Those are very big surgeries. I've worked many of them over the years.
Rushing to the OR. Early in the morning after a call that a Helicopter is on the way with a rupturing aorta.
Less than 50% survival rate. Never lost one..🫂😊
Root aneurysm? Do you mind if I ask what you were measuring at in mm pre surgery? How long did you know about the aneurysm before surgery?
