I want to get the 28-70 lens. I've put a LOT of thought into it and that lens is the best way to bring my R6 into the RF glass arena.

Right now I'm just adapting older Canon glass and although that's been working well for me, it would be good to keep progressing and update my tools over time.

Simultaneously, I'm keeping an eye open for older stuff as well. I want to practice woth non-professional gear so I can show people that you don't need to spend a ton of money to get great results.

More to come...

Why the 28-70 and not the 24-70?

Two reasons: The first is that I have a 14-24mm f2.8 I use specifically for real estate shoots that I don't mind adapting to the RF mount. The second reason is that I want the f2. The f2 makes the lens more versatile overall and 24mm and 28mm are both similarly wide enough to have some use case overlap. In short; As a walkaround lens I don't need the 24 mm but the F2 would be very nice to have. I feel the tradeoff between those two factors is worth it.

I'm a Sony guy, but DAMN. 28-70 F2!? F2!? Is it huge?

BTW, it's on sale for $2,799 at B&H. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1433713-REG/canon_rf_28_70mm_f_2l_usm.html
