Yeah, I can see also someone offering a custodial server-based client, maybe one that talks to other messaging networks muddying up the NYK ethos.
They can even offer private DMs with no meta-data my processing them off-protocol. Even primals stats, tribe/network trending section are completely centralised. All those lists are processed in centralised server.
