Subnostr

When I tried to bring a friend of mine into the nostrums, he said to me, this is going to become a honeypot very quickly, and every day I'm more and more right, but this only happens because of idolatry, people need leaders to support their ideas, because it's always easier to think in other people's heads than to think in your own.

This only makes intelligent people in our midst less and less willing to share your ideas and, as we say here in Portugal, "let the house burn". I have mixed feelings about #nostr, but the truth is that I'm less and less willing to share different ideas and different points of view, because the truth is that if it's not name A, B or C saying them, nobody cares.

Why not take advantage of the brilliant minds that have emerged here to engage in productive dialog and listen only to those who have already proven to be unreliable?

It's amazing how easy it is to fool people for those who know how to sell narratives. Fallacies are used all the time, and valuable ideas are brushed aside and seem to be sensored by a few clients and a few relays.

There's still time to cure #nostr, but it takes work, it takes people doing their own research and not taking it for granted just because A, B or C said so.

We're better than that, but lately the spirit that brought me here has been lost.

Is #nostr getting to big to be cured?

I'm not sure what you're trying to say?

My experience is that NOSTR is more open to more ideas with less prejudice than existing platforms. Individual relays can censor as they wish, but there are many relays. No message can be muted unless the recipient chooses.

Yes there are users with large followings and users with small followings. Larger followed users are heard by more people, but we each find our audience and our groups.

Obtaining a large following requires effort, either through previously earned reuptation or building your reputation on a platform such as this.

Nostr, like all social media tools is what you make of it. Nostr only promises your uncensored content and free speech, nothing more.

You have no right to be heard only a right not to be censored.

It's often people with a large following who self-censor, perhaps for fear of reprisals or fear that their followers will lose interest, I don't know. I'd rather think that than other factors.

But there's one thing I've learned: with great power comes great responsibility, and the people with the most influence should take that into consideration.

When I first came here, the ideas were multi-faceted, today they seem to follow a script.
