I recently read What Does It All Mean by Thomas Nagel and enjoyed it, posed some cool questions to consider

I also really liked a book called In Praise of Shadows about japanese aesthetics and comparisons between western and Asian cultures and their uses of light/dark

I like lots of different books and types but some of my favorites are Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke, and Lie Down in Darkness by William Styron. They captured my imagination when I read them.

I'm no sure it one of those lines up with you interests!!
