The XJR-15 was a largely based on the Le Mans winning XJR-9 in an effort to woo wealthy racing enthusiasts who admired the XJR-9 and requested TWR to make a road-legal version of the famed racer from Le Mans.

The XJR-15 powered by 450-horsepower Jaguar V12 was the 1st ever road car to be made entirely of carbon fiber which because of it's light weight propelled this cat to 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. Over the course of 1990-1992, 53 examples were made until the discontinuation of the XJR-15 in favor of the much maligned XJ220 in 1992. #cars #carstr #carchain #carporn #grownostr
