Actually, yes. You don’t want anyone to know you have Bitcoin in the first place. It makes you vulnerable for a lot of risks. Including this risk of your government knocking on your door one day when they go full dictatorship mode.

So when they ask us if we can register how much Bitcoin we have, we say we lost our private keys in a boating accident.

Just keep the amount for yourself and stay humble.

And how I like to say it to my government:
