I really want to start my own Nostr relay/node (?) and Lightning node (?) bit I know nothing about that stuff! HAAA

You can do both using an Umbrel. I have it running on a Raspberry Pi, but you can install it on anything.

How’s it work with Apple products? I’ve got a Start9 and it doesn’t like working with Apple stuff. (TOR issues with Apple.)

Don't see why it would be a problem. I don't use Apple so I don't have any experience with that aspect.

Does it run things on TOR?

It can run on Tor. Also has one click install for talescale

But it doesn’t have to run on TOR? (That’s the issue I have with Start9)

There is a toggle in the setting to turn off Tor. Never tried it though

I would look at Start9 for a Lightning Node. Their servers are amazing tools

Yes its more like a plug and play setup. I think it takes some tweaking but seems to be a really solid little unit
