I'm not a developer, but I would like to know if is possible to have a spark address derived from a npub, so allnpubs could automatically have a spark address too that could be accessed with the nsec.
So we could zap anyone here on Nostr without needing to ask people to create a wallet.
in theory, the nsec could become a wallet seed, but you would have to actually give out the wallet addresses, fresh one each time, preferably, reuse of addresses is bad.
But the wallet derived from a nsec would probably be just for tips. Not the main wallet of the user. And if the wallet have the funds stollen, we will know that our Nostr account was accessed too, something that today is impossible to know.
well, i think just use NWC and lightning. there is plenty of custodial wallet services for users, alby, wallet of satoshi, breez, phoenix. this associates the payments with the user, and can be made private by using a one-use npub or not even broadcasting a zap event just use their LUD16 lightning address (like mine mlekudev@getalby.com
New users don't know how to link wallets. Usually I see people asking new users to setup lightning wallets and they don't have any idea what a lightning wallet is and how to setup this. If when we create a Nostr wallet we already have a spark wallet, would help a lot.
alby is extremely easy, literally just install the extension and off you go. putting the LUD16 address from another wallet that supports it, like WoT is just a matter of instructing the person to put it into that field in their profile, and it just works.
i mean, doesn't matter which wallet you use, you have to know the lightning address and put it in your profile to enable zaps
How about connecting a working LN-address, which will enable plebs to zap you freedom money?
