Ouch. I don't know if the number of channels matter but I always have less than 10 (which is enough for my needs)
Just luck. So many channels close out of some bugs. I even had lost funds on LND due to a channel force closing to an address I don’t have a private key from (totally nuts)
LND forced closed some channels on my for whatever shitty reason, also messed up sweep transactions
