The 1,500-year-old arrow, dating back to the pre-Viking era (around the 6th century AD), was discovered by archaeologists in Norway's Jotunheimen Mountains.

It was preserved with an intact pine shaft and an iron arrowhead because the ice acted as a "prehistoric deep freezer," but it is now being exposed due to rapidly melting glaciers.
