MIT. I just want a safe place to park. We have a visit scheduled and will be heading out after the visit. I do t mind to Uber in the remaining distance.

There are a few paid garages in Harvard Square if you’re going to be at MIT. If you’d rather park in downtown boston, the Prudential Center garage is pretty massive and not terribly overpriced (last time I checked, lol).
Both should be safe spots to leave the car - most of the main downtown and/or touristy spots should be fine
