Hot water

To break the fever that finally came

Sinking in

Like I'm meeting my watery grave

Shivers and quivers

Skin burning

Coughing

Sneezing

Stomach churning

Stiff

Tense

Tight as a drum

Hoping the water will make it all undone

Aches and pains

Sniffly nose

It feels like my hair hurts

straight down to my toes

Sinking further down

Head underwater

Listening to the swishing sound

Trying to feel unbothered

Thinking I might get an ear infection

But I don't care

And yet I'm full of perplexion

I just want to fade away

Into the ocean of my mind

Floating in bliss

Leaving the world behind
