& @NVK more bitcoiners sure, but nostr (and it's most attractive clients lke nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg) is definitely plagued by an overemphasis on Bitcoin. The protocol itself and its visionary principles could be a great source of attraction for FOSS types and the Twitter braindrain more generally (most of whom are still adrift I might add). Creatives who could be greatly benefitting from the lightning system are turned off by the goopy ai-art-adjacent UIs & the upfront emphasis on Bitcoin which is an immediate buzzkill and will remain despite a bullish Bitcoin imo. This amazing Bitcoin use case should (and will) come downstream from nostr adoption.
