Never knew that polymer coated slow release fertilizers were a thing. Heralded as a way to increase fertilizer efficiency by slowing the release of the fertilizer, are now thought to increase the amount of micro plastics in our soil and food supply. Haven't had a chance to read the full paper, but here it is.
