I don't think it has to be. like my highest self wants this for your highest self in the event we must part ways. personally think it's beautiful to want to care for another human that hard.
I totally get that and have experienced that myself. But sadness is part of the genuine emotions, I'd assume.
I'm not saying sad as in anything that didn't last a life time is sad.
