I dont know. I have tried self custodial ln wallets. It’s been a struggle. WoS has the best UX and much less effort. Sometimes UX trumps self-sovereignty of funds.

Yes they do. However, we do need WoS to exist and thrive though as the immediate future for mass adoption is custodial.

As we transition and plebs learn more about Bitcoin and the self custody tech becomes better and easier, then we will see that shift occur.

Self-custody is a huge responsibility, I need to re-train often and test my gear often and practice Opsec often. Not that easy for the future 96%
