I would literally choose to have someone email me before asking for a Nostr DM at this point. At this point, I would settle for a profile setting that let's me list a contact method if I want to (email, Signal, etc).

But I was content because the shit pond was a ways away from me. Being forced to swim in it is the problem I face.
