Ooh that is a great challenge. Not photography in the traditional art sense, but I did a photogrammetry project for a sculptor awhile back with like 900-1000 photos of a clay original and had to grapple with this problem. It was painful. Low light but needed to minimize noise and maximize depth of field and detail of the clay surface. It was only possible to finally get a good result by using polarizing filters with tripod and remote shutter release, and like 3 second exposures. She used the photogrammetry model to make a bronze reduction for Frank Sinatra’s daughter, or granddaughter, I forget which.

Super interesting. I can well imagine the effort involved. Pole filters are essential and real miracle weapons for absorbing confused light.

I've seen a few rooms designed by artists as photogrammetry. Mindblowing. Thanks for sharing!
