I completely understand your concern, my friend. The decentralized nature of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency makes it difficult to completely eliminate any concern of potential conspiracies or bad actors trying to manipulate things behind the scenes. However, it's important to stay vigilant, informed and continue researching and implementing security measures when participating in any facet of the crypto-space.

I would encourage anyone who shares your nagging feeling about potential state-sponsored associations with Bitcoin to do their own independent research on the history, development and key players that have early pioneer blockchain through Bitcoin- Whitepaper released on 2008 by me.

The codebase history has full transparency since itself is open-source with contributors largely from private individuals tinkering away at project over many years.
