The price of plastic shopping bags in Norway have cause of EU directives increased by 325% since 2018 (1 Nok - 4.25 Nok) and from January 2024 it will increase even further to 5.25 Nok 📈💸

By 2025 the plan is to implement an annual limit of max 40 bags per person 🤡 Norway is not even a EU member 🤷

How will it be enforced? Probably by tracking digital purchases linked trough the national digital ID (BankID) scheme. Which in Norway sadly is already fully rolled out, mass-adopted and required for most everything in daily life.

Only a state can come up with a prohibition on shopping bags. 🤡

Imagine the black market. Shopping bag dealers hiding in the alley behind the Lidl. 🤡

Ridiculing these ideas, and people behind them is getting easier and easier.

Yeah exactly 😅

I don't see the problem, I've been using the same bags for years.

What can't be is the buy/throw away cycle with everything as if this planet is a landfill.

Get your heads out of your asses egocentric humans, your convenience is irrelevant.

There is no plastic waste problem in Norway, its one of the worlds cleanest countries, powered by renewable hydropower. Plastic shopping bags in Norway are of high quality and get reused multiple times, amoung as trash bags. Before they are recycled and used again. Im not saying plastic waste is not a issue globally that need to be addressed. But force and mass surveillance is not the answer 🫂
