Let's not forget that on Twitter, "only" Elon, the FBI, the CIA, the government, and a few other guys know who you write and even what you write. In that case, I prefer open access for everyone.

In the long run, though, I hope we can get metadata privacy for #Nostr DMs, so no one knows who wrote who.
