I farmed wild boar on an island in the Mekong river for a while, rotated pastures of king grass and banana trees, and fed them with several tons per week of milk yogurt and BSFL. Cleanest pig meat on the planet and pure white tallow. The issue isn’t the animal it’s the lifestyle (bcoz of the farm care) of that animal.

100%. If you’re keeping an eye on what the animal and what they’re eating then that’s great. The problem is pigs do eat their own feces, and if you’re not watching their every move, this will happen. Another issue with pigs is that they do not detox well. So if they do eat something that can give them parasites and other toxins, they will not be able to detox properly. The way you raise boar can help them to be less toxic, but by nature they are one of the dirtiest animals
