I feel running it lean is what most people struggle with. Especially those who lack business acumen. I went to business school, so I always fantasized about running my own business, but was always very weary of any business venture with heavy overhead. High equipment costs, inventory costs, these are the biggest holes I see people dig themselves into when starting their own business, and the thing that usually cripples them
