I understand servility or the fake affection that certain people give when you’re in a position of power or fame. Receiving that kind of "love" is the ugliest feeling because you can sense how insincere and false most people are. They will disappear the moment your power or fame ends. They are not there for you—they are there for themselves, trying to gain recognition by using your power. These people are not your friends; they are the sycophants of your power. If they have never opposed, criticized, or offended you, they hate you.
