After reading BIP 360 i dont see the harm in implementing as long as the math is solid (as of this note, ill read and learn more. Might change my mind)

Using existing code/features to be backwards compatible and remove risk of public key exposure so quantum computers cant brute force a privaye key.

Each holder of bitcoin can make their own decision if they want to move UTXOs to the new bc1r format. And long enough time horizon i expect those genesis coins to move once technology catches up to break the cryptography. It will surprise many but hey the supply still wont change. #21millionforever

Err… we’ve known most of this info for a long time n it still doesn’t seem like it’s going to be a threat for a long time still…

Why not prepare ahead of time and then be stress free during "crisis"? Proactive vs reactive

I just don’t see a "crisis"

Fair enough. As i said originally i cant see any issue or harm with implementing the BIP now vs then. And people still have the freedom to use it or not.

I didn’t disagree with that either…
