I play poker with my friends who aren't into bitcoin. One of them keeps arguing that if big players in the financial world start understanding bitcoin, they will simply buy up all the available bitcoin, leaving none for anyone else. As a result, my friend believes that bitcoin cannot become a viable global currency.
