I’m four chapters into The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins. So far, I’m enjoying it surprisingly a lot. A lot of what I’m reading reminds me of the start of Jason P. Lowery‘s Softwar book or thesis (I guess) wherein he discusses power projection occurring all the way back to the beginning of life on earth. It’s no Harry Potter, though. 😮‍💨😂

I recommend ‘Scale’ by Geoffrey West next

Thank you for the suggestion I’ll add it to my reading list :)

Great book!

I’m quite enjoying it :) I love that even though it’s gone through various editions each decade, they left in some of the dated concepts. Like right now I’m reading about negative feedback, and it discussed how computers cannot yet play chess as well as a human or grandmaster, and it made me chuckle. Fun to see time bottled away in the form of text.
