why is Audi R8 so heavy ? at 3700 lbs it's 1,000 lbs heavier than Honda Civic, which seats 5 and has a trunk.

sure V10 AWD is heavier than I4 FWD but the Audi is made out of Aluminum while the Civic is made of Steel.

i think they just made it so heavy on purpose so it won't be faster than Porsche 911.
