During #plebchainradio I referenced this #documentary from Reason about the #cypherpunks

I don’t particularly like Reason but every now and then they get it right just like most of the corporate press and independent media outlets.

I don’t know if I’ll ever fully be able to articulate how much it’s ripped my soul out to stand a the crossroads of two topics that are at odds, digital #freedom and the detection and removal of child sexual exploitation online.

I landed on the #humanrights position of maximum freedom for all but it’s extremely unpopular amongst my colleagues. I understand their position. I’ve been tested many many times to change my position.

I think not changing my position will ultimately be one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do.

That being said, I’m not changing my position. I understand what is at stake and I’d rather be unpopular than advocate for changes that risks the lives of many.

Digital freedom like the time you got thousands of accounts banned on Twitter for simply asking questions about your worldstar hip hop video by posting screenshots of it? You’re a hypocrite Eliza Morthland. You say that you have been afraid to say who your “sex traffickers” we’re for legal reasons? Yeah legal reasons because you’d get sued for defamation. The truth is you didn’t have any sex traffickers. You were your own traffickers by making your own business decisions.

Here’s your music video that you’ve desperately tried to get scrubbed off the internet because it proves you’re full of shit

Btw I’m not co-signing everything they say in this documentary. I just referenced it so I wanted to post.

I do believe there is a timely conversation there due to the legislation that will be hitting corporate tech in short order.
