Doxxing is not a crime, and private keys do not get “stolen”. Both are irreversible (and eventually inevitable) consequences of “secrets that must be kept”.

The crime, in this case, is cancel culture asserting that “extremists” are incapable of contributing to the freedom of all humankind.

It matters NOT who fiatjaf is or what [his] hobbies and beliefs are. THIS is the message that (so far) Nostr PR has failed to get in front of.

So they’re the “cancel culture” now for doxxing? Who in this scenario are the ones upset about an article and DMing the writer they shouldn’t have done that?

The “cancel culture” mentality (outing “extremism” as if “nothing good could ever come of it”) is apparent in the tone of the article’s opening lines:

>”In his quest to support alternative social-media platforms, Twitter's cofounder Jack Dorsey unwittingly funded a developer who's a follower of a Brazilian fascist, according to archived webpages and business records.”

> “The funding, which supported the development of the decentralized social-media protocol Nostr, comes as Silicon Valley's rightward political drift has become more apparent and as some in tech's elite push back against what they perceive as overreach in censorship and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.”

Read between the lines, it says:

“Dorsey is cute and (cross fingers?) not all THAT bad (unlike Elon XXX) but the poor fella has been misled by “silicon valley’s rightward political drift”, who in turn have been manipulated by THOSE right wing cult extremists who are now popping up in Brazil!! BTW anti-censorship is NOW a dog whistle for hate and non-inclusion. So they MUST be up to no good, and what they’re making (together) should NOT be trusted.”

Im well aware of the artilce.

I asked “who in this scenario are the ones upset about an article and DMing the writer they shouldn’t have done?” hoping it was apparent I was referring to many Nostr users talking about this.

An opinon expose piece is written and its “cancel culture” but people DMing the writer telling them they should feel bad for it are not? Thats crazy.

Im not “reading between the lines” (buying your narrative). There is so much overreaction about this. The apparent freedom some Nostr users advocate for here seems to be so thin-skinned its hard to take it seriously.

I guess we’re in agreement then.

Backdoors in devices will definitely steal private keys and it is stealing. Think more
