My middle kid and her roommate came over and learned how to make gumbo today. It was delicious. They did everything themselves and I couldn't be prouder.

Can’t wait for Thursday Gumbo
In excited to make it for you guys. I was dang near giddy when my daughter texted me to ask me to teach her and her roomie. They wrote down notes and stuff the whole time. It was so cute. We made them do pretty much everything. Even stripping the skins from the chicken thighs to render the fat to make the roux.
Never thought of making a roux like that!
