I feel a lot of the prosperity is a mirage. We live longer but are more unhealthy. We have more food abundance than ever but less nutrition. We have more wealth but the value degrades quickly. We have more millionaires but their origin is often tied to the money printer.

In aggregate yes, in the individual/tribe level I would say its the opposite.
