One day you wake up and you’re a middle-aged woman… and here you are. That’s that.

But I try to remember all the women in their fifties and sixties who inspired me when I was a tiny twenty-something.

I used to say, “I wanna be like them when I grow up.”

Some even said, “Life begins at 50.”

I’ve got a decade to go… but I really want to carry that attitude from here on out.
