nostr kicks Mastodon's butt.
Resilience, sovereignty, lightning integration, true decentralization, low maintenance relays.
I'm finding harder to like Mastodon the more I know about nostr.
Do you share the feeling? How do you think they compare to each other?
I'm sure your take is interesting to many, Thank you for your courage.
Still learning about the difference bwteen relays and activitypub, which is where all the magic happens.
Some tell me relays won't scale.
So far no issues, I guess :-)
Example: I'm confused why I have 5k followeers on ostrgram.io but ony 2k on snort
I presume it's because I don't have all the same relays loaded, but don't know if that's true or how to remedy that
(ps) I don't care about follower numbers, the descrepancy is confusing me
'That's true' I've also noticed discrepancies and they seem to get solved over time. I'm guessing it's due to relay synchronicity but will keep looking into it.
I just hate my account being banned or deleted from Mastodon instances with no recourse at all but asking the dude named ben that's in charge.
