Communication is 🔑

So interesting that we are "configured" not to communicate.

Lots of relationships end because of insufficient or bad communication.

Do you have a problem? Communicate. You won't be able to solve the issue together, if you don't communicate.

Do you like something? Communicate.

How shall the other know?

It does not make sense to hide our feelings. Usually we don't see the things the way they are, but through our lenses. This means that the other side might see something totally differently then you meant or wanted it to be. Solution? Communication!

Just ask! Just communicate!

Start it small.

I always tell my kids to communicate more but I realize that often I'm the one that should communicate more giving example.

Leading by example is a good idea! Maybe you can also concentrate on the environment as well, to make it easy to communicate. If you have an open, not judging environment, they might feel more open to talk.

It is also a self-reinforcing pattern. So if you start to change the environment, it will be also easier for you to communicate more openly as well.
