For the second consecutive night, U.S. forces in northern Iraq intercepted and shot down an unidentified drone approaching the U.S. Consulate in Erbil. The drone is believed to have been launched by Iranian-backed paramilitary groups operating in Iraq. Earlier in the evening, several more drones were also downed as they neared Al-Asad Airbase in western Iraq.
