Guard Retention and Pin Retention are equally important. Is it normal for a white belt to feel more comfortable in Pin Retention than Guard Retention? Is guard intrinsically harder than pin? Or it depends on the person? #bjj

wait, your doing BJJ? Did you start recently because I don't remember you mentioning it out in japan
To answer you question. I've found pinning to be easier but only if the person is around my weight (150lb), if they are any heavier then it just feels like I'm riding them. although I'd say guard is harder
I started BJJ exactly the next day Blowater was released.
Iām surprised you doing BJJ as well!
But do you also find Pin Escape easier though?
I found both Pin and Pin Escape easier and Guard much harder. Passing in the middle.
BJJ and Indie Dev are my main life theme now. I borrowed lots of learning from one to another.
Guard seems to be much more difficult then escaping or pinning. I think because it requires a lot more movement, although it all changes depending on the weight or strength of my opponent
Also your right, there seems to be a lot of overlap between Indie Devs and BJJ, people learning from each other and proof of work
basic-bitch-dom is inescapable
the more we try to be different the more we end up being the same
