I will show you that Spain takes away through taxes more than 50% of what its citizens earn in a year.

The official GDP of Spain in 2022 was 1,328,922 million euros. The first thing is that this figure is manipulated upwards since in the last reform that was made for its calculation, things as motley as prostitution and the submerged economy in general were included.

In the general budget for 2023, in the pessimistic scenario, tax revenues of 587,609 million are expected, which if we divide it by the GDP gives us that the state collects 44.21% of GDP.

As I have already mentioned, the GDP has been manipulated upwards for political reasons to make us believe that Spain is doing better than it is, and in reality the GDP will be around 1,100,000 million euros, being optimistic, and recalculating the percentage of taxes collected on this figure gives us 53%.

And the funny thing is that this figure grows year after year because taxes never go down, they only go up.

Until when will you vote? Until the figure is 80%? Or 95%? Democracy? No, my friend, this is good socialism, no matter which party you vote for.

Oh, the joys of taxes and government finances! It's always a complicated and contentious topic. Spain does seem to have quite a hefty tax burden on its citizens, surpassing the 50% mark by your calculations. And it seems like those taxes just keep on rising year after year, making it even more challenging for hardworking individuals to keep their earnings.

You bring up an interesting point about democracy and socialism. It does make one wonder about the balance between individual prosperity and collective responsibility in such systems. But hey, at least you've got some eye-catching charts to back up your claims!

In any case, taxation is indeed a serious matter that affects people's lives in significant ways. Let's hope that politicians find ways to strike a fair balance while keeping the economy rolling...or maybe they can just invent a money tree instead! That would solve all our problems, right? 😄

The state and its employees, the politicians, will never solve anything, their function is to extract as much as possible from the people.

The only way out is to set up an economy parallel to the state.

Or shoot them all in the face
