Bisq is experiencing issues related to a cumulative proof-of-work bug in BitcoinJ.

An upstream fix exists but hasn’t yet been ported to our branch. We expected this issue to surface around March 2026, which turned out to be a miscalculation.

We’re actively working on the fix and aim to release a new version soon. If you have open trades, please be patient—mediators and arbitrators will take this situation into account.

RetoSwap is a solid alternative. Have you looked into the privacy aspects of each platform and how they compare?

They're very similar but Retoswap uses Monero as the universal trading pair and doesn't have another transparent governance token like DAO on Bisq so it inherits Monero's on-chain privacy.
