Google Maps is the one Google service I cant seem to escape on my degoogling journey. Yes, apps built on openstreetmaps can be a good alternative but the reviews data for things like restaurants and the fact that people will only share Google maps links these days when sharing locations makes it hard to escape.

I used organic maps, and the address I typed in didn't work.

I got just the app for you: https://github.com/Divested-Mobile/maps

If you don't care about POIs, schedules and reviews, use MagicEarth, it uses OSM and works great.

Organic maps is nice. Maybe, someday something willgo along and someone will code it. Maybe nostr:nprofile1qqsx45yrjtgm4glklaafgz0z4309gs6cwfja3d99s8rqvlvgagcptpqpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgtcqpazrn will build it into satlantis.io

As of now i am good to get the reviews over google and navigation seems to be ok with me on organic maps. They are lacking favorites/pins, but also that seems like they are working on it.

Maybe we can start a geyser to fund it?
