Elite theory does go a long way to explain quite a bit.
BUT, with each state is part of the culture that has allowed the leadership to develop into what it is. The people, while not being equally culpable are, to varying degrees, responsible for elements of the authority they are controlled by.

Explain how all those kids living there, that will get killed, are responsible for their regime and therefore deserve to die?
Tell that kids that not yet have been brainwashed , tell that women that have nothing to say in those countries.
After knowing all that, if you now have no problem with all those innocent people getting killed just because they were born in those countries.
We are not even talking about komplex things like those who have been brainwashed their entire life and don't even know there is another reality. Have no way to learn about other realities due to censorship and opression.

You have not provided a single argument why wiping out entire nations would be justified. There is no such case where this will be true, no nation no matter how bad their regime is, has a population that is entirely supporting what that regime is doing. Not to speak from kids who are neutral in every possible way.

I've met Peter a few times and I like him. He's always taken the time to explain complex Bitcoin Engineering topics to me, and does so with enthusiasm and some humour. I've also conversed politics with him, and concluded that his genius in engineering topics is likely the same trait that results in a highly polar view of political issues. Let's remember that peoples' politics can change; there was a time when my views on some things weren't too far away from Peters. Opinions are often dependant on the people around us, our information sources, and in my case, a few experiences with mdma made me see the world a little differently, which almost certainly led to introspection and a shift in my politics. Calling each other out (especially in CAPS) often gets pretty cringe. Differences in opinions will prevail.
