The people who are 'concerned about Bitcoin’s energy usage' are smack bang in the middle of the venn diagram of people:
1) Who don’t understand Bitcoin;
2) Who don’t know what stranded energy is,
3) Who let the media think for them.

I'm concerned that Bitcoin is using too little energy.
True, 100%. It's stunning how conditioned most people are. The higher educated, the more conditioned in general is my observation. We don't educate en reward people to think for themselves, but educate and reward children/teenagers to copy-paste flawlessly. The better they are at reproducing, the higher their grades, the higher their education, the higher their positions and salaries. We reward conditioning, so that's what we get: compliant, conditioned, obedient people. This is not by accident by the way. It's by design.
