If you’re trying to ⚡️zap⚡️ someone and nothing happens after you press the zap button, probably one of two things is true:
1) Wallet of Satoshi is having issues again.
-or-
2) They’re using Strike.army and your default zap amount is set lower than 1¢ USD worth of sats, which is Strike’s smallest transaction.
Question since I am pretty new to all this stuff: Is it a recent thing that Wallet of Satoshi seems to have issues quite often or has it been that way before?
Recent, like within that last day or 2 since they started implementing NIP-57 support. Seems to be getting better. Probably just working some bugs out since this is new integrating with Nostr.
I see - would you still recommend WoS? Or having a good alternative?
WoS is one of my favorites. I prefer to use LN.tips (Lightning Tip Bot). You set it up in Telegram and then you can link it to Zeus, Alby, or BlueWallet, or use the Telegram chat interface. It uses your Telegram username for your Lightning address and also gives you an anonymized address if you don’t want to dox your telegram. All that said, WoS is great for use on Nostr as well because of the features it supports.
