Would this be testing whether value4value really works or if there are enough people on ~Nostr~ to make it possible to sustain someone's lifestyle?
Because if it's the former, I think fiat spaces like only fans has already proved value4value works.

Yea V4V works given the right circumstances (access to banking services in the US, for instance), so this would more a test of whether someone on nostr can use nostr and zaps to earn enough to cover their cost of living. I imagine if it’s possible at all, it would only be in certain parts of the world where cost of living is relatively low.
I do think right now zap amounts are low because there isn't enough Bitcoin flowing through Nostr. It's not a circular economy until we have a way to pump Bitcoin to people while they are on Nostr who can then zap content they like. (See #attentionmarketplace)
Right now everyone is either passing the same Bitcoin back and forth or a generous Satoshi millionaire is just throwing it around. That's not sustainable and probably why this may only work for now in a handful of countries.
