Re: lightning privacy in yesterday’s “sort of live” rip… when you say the privacy is pretty good when you “run your own channels”, does this include opening non-public channels to various LSPs (as with Alby Hub), or do you specifically mean opening channels only with other plebs on the Lightning network and hoping that you’re well-connected enough to find the routes you need?

It mainly depends on how the routing is handled. If the LSP is doing it for you, then it’s not so good for your privacy. Thanks brother. I know connecting your Alby account to your node also gives Alby view access to transactions… so my next step is to self-host an Alby Lightning node on Start9, separately from the Alby hub cloud service node. Still figuring things out wrt Lightning addresses, Bolt12, etc etc
