GrapheneOS and trying to use less spyware is true PoW. What a pain in the ass. Sure worthwhile but this will be a long process. Any recommendations for a nostr client?

#amethyst over obtainium if you're trying to degoogle.

Otherwise Amethyst through Aurora Store is good too, plus you get translation support.

Thanks. Can’t find on Aurora. Doesn’t show. I think am done for one day. The accessibility on this stuff for non tech people is extremely draining. At least I can get a few apps installed even though it’s obscure in operation. Vanadium is nice once used to navigation. For the sake of sanity, I’ll return to geological modelling and petrophysics.

I do think there’s an opportunity for people here. I’d be happy to pay sats for someone to shorten the upgrade time allocation requirement. Although interesting to learn new things and go through myriad forums and you tube channels etc, not everyone has the time or potentially IT knowledge. Good to be humbled too I suppose!

Thanks for the response

Being free of spyware is a pain in the ass?...

Errr yeah it is to be honest. If not very techie, some of the learning curve is hard to access. Obviously there’s a bandwidth element. How much time does one have to do these things. Sad thing is, amongst friends, they’re waiting for me to figure out the installs and hoops because they’ve given up
